My hair is black and have not use chemicals on it about 1yr plus. Will the cooper work on my hair? What color can I expect?
If your hair is black it will make it blacker. You will need to use deep red to get some other color. Our dye does not go lighter.
Does this work for black people’s hair?
Of course Yes!
Hi, I have dark blonde hair and I was wondering what color it would turn if I used the copper dye – I don’t want to be really ginger! Thanks
pic number 1 is copper top on light colored hair. http://hennahut.com/henna_testimonials
Hi! I haven’t used the copper brown yet (just ordered, can’t wait) but I was wondering if I can use my regular shampoo (it is either Dove or Aussie) to wash/condition my hair and the color won’t be affected, will it?
Also, I have dark blonde hair with red tints, will it look more coppery red or more strawberry blonde?
Thanks!
Copper brown can turn darker on brown areas and copper orange on white or light areas. Dark blond might be a brighter outcome. For a strawberry color you would need to use red ( it will be bright at first and then tone down after the 4th shampoo.) Or just leave it on for just 10 minutes and rinse. Copper and pure henna will give you a natural red head/auburn look. As far as shampoo and conditioner you should be fine. Here is a before and after picture of copper brown (picture number 1) http://hennahut.com/henna_testimonials
Hi, I have dark brown hair and I’m looking to add a reddish tone to it. I’m having a hard time deciding if deep red or copper brown would be best for me.
Deep red if it is dark. Copper brown will make it darker.
My hair is naturally light to medium brown with natural red undertones. i have been dyeing it reddish brown for years because of going white. I want a chesnutty reddish brown. In your picture this looks pretty intense. What would you reccommend I use?
Yes , OR use the light brown. if you have white hair you might be able to pull some reds out of light brown as well. Just do the roots as they come in.
I have red hair already. It looks like this:

except longer, down to just under my armpit.
I want to enhance the color and make it glow so it looks more like this:

what would you suggest?
Your first link is not working. If you are light red head and want to be more red use pure red orange ( pure henna).
If it is light and you want to go darker natural red use copper brown. Always touch up roots with copper brown or it can go very very brown. After 4-5 months or longer as it fades you can do the whole head again or just do pure henna.
My wife uses copper top maybe once every 6 months and uses pure henna in between.
Hi!
I am very interested in purchasing henna to dye my hair. I would just like to clarify that I am getting the right color. I have greys. I am about 60% grey. I was born red head with curls and It has continually gotten darker over the years. I have wavy hair and I do dye it. Currently my hair is medium brown mixed with strawberry blonde. I would like to keep the strawberry blonde idea and do not mind going darker although I am not looking to go bright red. What are your thoughts on the right color for me. Do you think copper top is the best selection for me.
Copper top is good however it might darken it. I would start with pure henna ( natural red ) or copper top to make it all match better. Highlights look awesome… see the before and after pics… http://hennahut.com/henna_testimonials.
You can mix any and all of the colors, so use your best judgement. darker colors do root touch ups to keep the same colors.
Tricky at first, yet easy after you learn
Hi i have a question, I’ve been using hair dye the past two years and stopped about 4 months ago because it was deteriorating my hairs structure. I have naturally dark blond hair with red highlights in it. Its structure is fine and thin. I want to get to a deep natural looking auburn, what color would you recommend? also- i have read that some colors the more you use it the darker it gets. how can you avoid that?
Just need to do root touch ups. I would use copper brown (copper top). If it is not dark enough you can do it a second time. it is tricky at first, and you can mix any of the colors we have together.
hi i want to used ur product but my hair base is black i mean super black is hard to dye in a ligher color like aurborn cooper but i dont want to bleach my hair to get it that color i want a more natural way so if i try this product is my hair going to go that color wiouth me having to put bleach in it …
If your hair us super black, then the only color you can use would be red, burgundy or pure henna ( natural red). Even then you will only see it in the sun as a tint.
Hello,
I searched your frequently asked questions and found that there was a henna color called ‘sunset orange’. I like that color but did not find it listed. Where can I get it?
Sunset orange is our pure henna. How bright it is will depend on what color you start with. Gray or white will be sunset glow.
Hi
I have dark brown or black hair. I want my hair copper brown. What do I use? I really dont want my hair RED but if i have to use a red dye to get the color i want thats ok.
Can you tell me what to use.
Sorry our dye does not go lighter. BUT you can use pure henna ( natural red orange) and it will give you a copper color.
Will this also work on men? I need to do my beard and my hair.
Yes it will work on men. It will work on anyone with hair.
I have really light brown hair that every summer gets lighter in the sun so right now it has blonde highlights. but i dont know what color would be the best for my hair, i dont want red, but im confused about brown or copper?
Copper brown (also called copper top) will give your light ares a red color and the darker areas a darker brown. So your blond highlights would be red and the rest should be a darker brown. Always do a strand test first, these are not chemical hair dyes.
So if you do not want red get light brown or brown. Just remember some times light brown takes a full 48 hours to turn to the final brown color and it might be a slight red or red orange for 24 hours or 48 hours. This is where the mixed rumors on brown come from.
Most do not realize it takes 48 hours to get to final color. Some people it changes instantly, some it takes 8 hours, some it takes the full 48. Hope that helps!
Hi, I used the copper brown henna, and it says not to wash with shampoo for 48. It’s only been about 38 hours, what will happen if i do use shampoo right now? Thank you for your help (:
You should be ok. You can also use a cream conditioner. But 38 hours is fine. It works extremely well on me so I wait 24 hours. test and trial.
