Hi can you use hair conditioner with henna and do you have to use a shampoo for coloured hair with it or can you just use regular shampoo?
Use regular shampoo and shampoo after 24 hours no longer than 48. You can use conditioner after you rinse the henna out if your hair is thick or tangled. No conditioner prior.
Hi there,
i just dye my hair with dark brown henna and i had it colored and with highlights . my hair looks like the dye color and some part of my hair looks lightler because of the hightlights i use to have , my hair color is going to change or is going to stay like that? And my hair is curly, i can brush it because the dye is left my hair tooo thick and it hurts, how long i should wait to shampoo it?
shampoo after 24 hours., no longer than 48 hours. You can also use conditioner to rinse with if it is thick and curly.
Some times it may look green at first and turn darker over night. Always do the hair early evening.
I have been chemically colouring my hair for years, however I am now very keen to use a henna product.. I’m not sure what colour to use. My natural colour is brown, it has gone darker from colouring it so much, so now it is very dark brown. I certainly don’t want it to go any darker, I really dislike black against my completion. I would like to stay dark brown as I understand you can’t go lighter, however I also like a chesnutty colour. I’m very nervous of my hair turning red or even green after using henna, this is what has always put me off in the past. I’m hoping that you can advise me on the colour to buy. Many thanks
Use mahogany, it has subtle reds if you want some red in it, or just use dark brown. Make sure you just do root touch ups so it does get super dark. Just be careful with the other products you put in your hair, that is what makes it turn green. Especially its a 10.
No oil treatments and no leave in conditioners and you will be fine
1) Are you black and brown black products 100% herbal without any chemicals?
Are they combination of just henna and indigo?
2) I have been using hair color for touch up. It is 4 months since I colored all hair. How long do I wait before using your products?
3) I want to use henna for hair color and also as a conditioner for health of full hair. I have some gray hair. Since you have mentioned to touch up roots and not to use on all hari each time, what is the method to get both benefits?
4) How often to use?
1. When we say chemical free we mean it. We do not add ANY chemicals. all the ingredients are listed on each page. It is all vegan. Mostly Indigo and henna. We also add natural ingredients.
2. 2 weeks
3. Yes. However if you do the whole head every 3-4 weeks you will benefit more. But if you are doing brown doing the whole had will make it darker and darker.
4. As often as you like or your roots grow out. It is health hair dye.
I see that you can also mix 75 percent indigo to 25 percent henna to get dark brown. I thought that would turn black that way (which I do not want- the goal is just to cover my very stubborn grays, not looking to go jet black)
Do you mix them together while still in powder form and then add water? What, if any, advantage is there to mixing your own dark brown using the 75/25 ratio versus the “dark brown” packet? Again, just really want to cover my gray effectively
Just get the dark brown. There is a fine line between dark brown and black. Just make sure you just touch up roots as they grow in. if you do your whole head over and over it will be black.
Hello, I have light brown hair and I want to go darker, but I am seriously allergic to hair dye, or chemicals in hairdye, or whatever it is that makes people react in normal hair dye. I have tried so many different kinds of dyes, and everytime I react badly. I am a little scared to try dye again, but I would really like to have darker hair. Are you ensuring that I won’t react?
Once again, we do not add ANY chemicals to our hair dye. ” 95% of our customers
come to us “after” they have had a bad reaction to chemical hair dye.”
With that said, some people are allergic to the sun, honey, sea food, shell fish, peanuts and more. Odds are you will not have a reaction, but always do a strand test especially if you are super sensitive. Hope that helps!
i have back hair (I’m an Asian). i want to have dark brown hair. you said that henna will go darker, so what kind of henna should i use?
Correct it goes “darker” so it will not go lighter, meaning you cannot go from black to dark brown. You can give it red highlights.. Deep red is best.
What is the longest I can wait before shampooing after the dark brown. The packet says 24, but can I wait longer? Maybe 48?
48 at most period,. after that it can turn different colors. Best trick is to shampoo it twice prior. No conditioners, no oil treatments or oil period. Just mix with tap water.
Thank you. One more question. I know I need to stay away from dandruff shampoo so my hair won’t turn green. However, I suffer from sebborheic dermatitis and dandruff shampoo provides some relief during flare ups. Is your neem dandruff shampoo safe to use with your hair dyes?
Yes! And we have many customers that are telling us it gets rid of the scalp issues. You may simply be allergic to sulfate. Many are miss-diagnosed with that. I have even had people tell me it gets rid of psoriasis. It smells good as well. once you get it better you might want to even try our aloe vera shampoo.
Our shampoo is very conditioning, so use a cheap shampoo prior to using our dye. Use our shampoo after.Sulfate free shampoo
i want brown/black color on my hair..do i have to mix the brown with the black color? or how does that work?
Just use dark brown. Remember it does not go lighter.
Hello!
I am very eager to try your products. But I am a little unclear on a few things, if you wouldn’t mind explaining:
This dark brown hair dye – it consists of both henna and indigo that I will mix at home, correct?
I have heard that it is a good idea to henna your hair PRIOR to using indigo. Does this rule still apply since the dye includes both henna and indigo? If I should do all over henna first, how long do I need to wait before I go ahead and apply the dark brown mix?
How much do I mix for a strand test?
Thanks!
No it is premixed. If you want black then henna your hair first and then use Indigo. The black kit comes with both henna and indigo. Mix as much as you need for the strand you are doing. Mix the Dark brown and apply. Just make sure you wash and dry your hair twice prior.
Great! Thank you for your quick response! I am so happy i found this site. I hate chemically coloring my hair, but I am 30 and already am sprouting grays!
When roots/new growth start to show, do you recommend just touching up the roots or putting color all over my entire head every time? (dark brown, not black).
Yes just touch up the roots as they come in or it will get darker and darker.
Here is a root touch up video.
Hi,
when ever i dye my hair, no matter what brand, i have an allergic reaction and my scalp becomes irritated for weeks. i was wondering if henna hair dye would solve my problems. Thanks!
" 95% of our customers
come to us "after"
they have had a bad
reaction to
chemical hair dye."
So you should be fine yes. We are not any brand, we are the ones with 0 chemicals. Always do strand test regardless. Some are alergic to honey, sun, peanuts etc. but you should be fine.
