Hi, I have black hair and I want to go light brown. any idea how i can do that using the henna? would it go light straight away ? thanks.
It does not go lighter. You can do deep red.
with out chemicals we cannot go lighter.
My natural color used to be brown but now my natural hair color is at least half gray/white and brown, however I color it using a light brown. I am not sure rather to use the henna light brown or brown. What would be my result with each of these? Thanks
Light brown will be light brown, but more red on the white and gray for a few days before it turns brown. If it stays the red in it you can try the brown. Just do root touch ups as needed.
If you keep dig the whole head it will get darker and darker. You can also mix brown and light brown together.
What are the instructions for the application of this hair dye? Like how to apply it, how long to leave it in, should I put on a shower cap, and rinsing well after?
Shampoo hair twice, no conditioner, dry. Mix powder with “tap” water luke warm. Apply from front to back in layers and leave on for 1 hour. Rinse and shampoo 24 hours later. The color will darken over 48 hours.

Hi! I dyed my hair blonde about 4 days ago and the color came out horrible and damaged my hair pretty badly. I want to switch to henna dyes, to get a nice light brownish auburn color, and i naturally have red in my hair which is natural a dark blonde/orangish color. LOL How long should I wait to henna color my hair and also if I have medium to long hair how many packets should I need?
BAD Bethany! No need to wait. You might have to do it twice though. It will make your hair feel better as soon as you shampoo it. Copper brown or deep red. Even pure henna will be good, it will give you a natural red orange.

Deep red will show up the best on dark hair. You will mainly see it in the sun. Do it more often to make it redder.

Wow this is tricky and not seeing you makes it harder. If you want o go a bit “darker” I would sue deep red but only for maybe 10 minutes. Regular red may also be fine. Red will tone down after a few days.
All of our colors are mixable. If you want it darker as a natural red head then use pure henna. We have pictures of women that have done what you are asking and we have before and after pictures on each.

regular brown if you want it a tad darker and use burgundy of you want it burgundy.
Just remember no leave in conditioners and the darker the hair the harder to see burgundy.
i have dark brown hair.i know you said henna won’t lighten your hair, but i still have hope haha. i want to try it but i dont want my dark brown looking black after using henna, so if i use the light brown what will it do?
If you use light brown over dark brown it will make it darker. no way around it. If you want to lighten your hair naturally the best way is to get a squirt bottle and a bag of fresh lemons, squeeze fresh lemon juice and put it in the spray bottle. Sit in sun and spray lemon on your hair every10-15 minutes.
You can add a red tint or Burgundy to it if you want some change. We had a lady that kept using the light brown over and over and over and she ended up with black. Sorry!
Hello, I have bleache blonde hair and have recently wanted to go darker to my natural light brown hair color. Chemicals bring it to horrible colors. Do you think the henna light brown would work in my hair?? Thank you, Kelly
Hello Kelly, congratulations on your switch to healthy hair dye! Depends on how much and how long you have bleached it. It will work, but it might take a couple of times and might bleed a week or so the first time. The rewards are worth it, so make sure you get a few packets. It cost the same to ship 3 as it does 1.
Also remember it will take 24-48 hours to get to the final color on some people. So do a strand test first. You can do an under coat strand and leave it on for only one hour. Longer does not mean darker. Then give it 48 hours to see the level of brown.
I’m 52 and I have dyed light to medium brown hair, natural growth is all gray. My hair grows very fast so I seem to have that white/gray stripe down my part all the time. My hair is getting very dry and brittle from the dye. Will the light brown cover the gray and blend with my dyed hair? or will the roots be a different color?
Harvest Moon Hair Dye will certainly work. Yes chemical hair dye will really dry you out! I would recommend using the color closest to the chemical dye. If light brown is it, you might want to see if our light brown blends just using a root touch up. Then once you do the root touch up do the entire head to make it match. Then continue to do root touch ups or your hair will keep getting darker if you do the entire head over and over. Also remember it can take up to 48 hours for light brown to get to the final color, it may look red or greenish at first, usually you get the final results in 24 hours.
