I have a medium/dark (more medium though) auburn hair color right now and I want to go bright red, like in the picture. Will this color work? Does it come with instructions on how long to leave it in and stuff?

If I have dark brown hair, how red will it be after dying it??

  • I used this, and the color was gorgeous, unfortunately, it faded very quickly. Everytime I showered I could see some color washing down the drain, even though I rinsed it until clear after the initial dying. I waited the regular two days or so for the color to settle, and it was fantastic. Now, about a month after, it’s left my hair very near my original color, with a bit more orange. (My hair is naturally red) I loved it, I just wish it lasted longer. Is there anything I did wrong?

    • There can many things you did wrong. Leave in conditioners will strip it, oil treatments, the way you mixed it, the water you used, pores in your hair, protein, meds and more etc.
You have to wash your hair twice before you use it, No lemon, no oils , just plain old tap water. No distilled or bottled water.

The more you use it the more permanent it will be. It varies from person to person of course.
You need to wash it daily and no longer than 36 hours after you rinse it out. It should bleed the first 4 times you wash it.

Rinse with Cold water that will help. There is no chemicals in it so you have to play with it.

I had my hair dyed red, then red a few more times and it got darker, then my cousin lightened my hair (to like blonde/orangey color) then dyed my hair red, the color didnt take very well and i needed a quick fix, so i went to target and got a boxed one that was for intense red, not like obnoxious red, but its very very red and i love it. my hair before all of the dying was a i think medium brown color, i want to start using this because i can tell my hair is damaged from the few times i have used real dyes. if before the last time i got my hair dyed it was lightened to a orangey blonde color, should i go for red? i definitely want it to be red, the one on the video where the girl used deep red wasnt red enough for me, so should i go with red? thanks so much!! :)
