Henna tattoo designs come in many sizes and shapes. The tradition henna tattoo design is a design on the hands and forearms.

Today henna tattoo designs are being used to make regular tattoos. Henna tattoos do not really look like a tattoo, it just looks different. If you place a henna tattoo next to an airbrush tattoo you will see the airbrush tattoo looks like an actual tattoo and the henna tattoo looks earthy.

To do a henna tattoo design you do not have to be an artist as most assume. You can simply find a design you like and trace it onto a piece of paper using carbon paper. With the carbon side of drawing placed against your skin, rub oil on the “back” of the paper. The carbon will then transfer to your skin. Oil and henna are good together so if you get oil on you do not worry!

Now take the henna cone and trace the carbon, you are now a professional! You can use this technique with any picture you want!

Another way to make a really nice henna tattoo design is use mylar to make a stencil, then use a surgical pen to trace the stencil on your body, then trace that with a cone. It is that simple!
