Hello Nina, yes this is one of the biggest reasons people come to us. Many are changing earlier now as well. All of our products are 100% natural. While all of our products have "henna" in the, not all of them are 100 % henna. To get browns we mix henna and indigo (also a natural plant form like its cousin henna) to make browns. So if you want brown, just order brown and it will not have a red color after 24-48 hours. If you want to have some red highlights use red or deep red on your dark brown and the lighter ares will be red. Otherwise to keep it all dark brown you can go with brown or dark brown. For a walnut color I would use mahogany. But remember mahogany will be very dark on dark brown. As you can see you can go a lot of different routes. Burgundy also looks great on dark hair :)

Hi there ... I have been dying my hair for years using a standard nice n easy box dye but have suddenly developed an allergy to it and similar brands. My hair is dark brown and I dye it to cover the odd grey. My question is can I dye my hair brown with henna without having a strong red colour. I don't mind red undertones but would just like a walnut colour brown? Thanx

Yes some times the post office makes mistakes, your order was shipped out, but does not show what happened to it. 95% of the orders that are lost comes back to us. Jamie has been talking to you. Henna was invented to cover the gray so all of our hair dyes cover the gray. If your mom has black and sone gray, she cannot go lighter to brown. If she uses any color it will make it black or darker with a hint of that color in the sun. It only goes darker or equal to. YOur new order was also shipped out today. Make sure your address is correct! Thank you!
also only mix harvest moon hair dyes with harvest moon hair dyes. All henna adds shine :)

Not seeing you it is hard to determine.. there is so many shades of brown and red so your idea might not be the same as mine. If you hair is dark brown and you want red under tone, just use a red or deep red. It will make it darker, but you will see the red in the sun. The tips will have to be determined afterwords.

Hi I have dark brown hair that has been dyed in the past so the tips are a bronzy red. I am looking for a deep red undertone...what color would you recommend and what level will I be able to get since my natural hair color is so dark? should I try to trim my ends to get a more even color, or will it be ok with the Henna?
Thanks

Straightening your hair is not a good thing, it can damage or dry it out. So using our products will help your hair. As far as an Asian color, it all depends with what color you use and what color you start with. So if you have black hair and use a deep red it will give you a "hint" of red.

Our natural hair dyes are permanent. So the only way to get it lighter would be to let it grow out or by using lemon and the sun.
