i want to bring a more naturaul color back, but will i be able to have two different shades with this dye? what i mean is will i be able to do dark brown and a darker red highligh? or is such thing not possible?
Yes it is, you just have to be careful where you get the hair dye. You can use a highlight cap, or aluminum foil to keep it separated.
It will be hard if you start with black. If you have black start with red in the areas you want red and then do mahogany in the dark areas. The mahogany will give you a hint of red and make it darker than what it already is.
Or you can substitute mahogany for black. Or just do your whole head with mahogany and you will get a deep color all over with a hint of red ( you will see red more in sun).
“Real” all natural hair dye works differently than chemicals, you cannot go lighter only equal to or darker so strand test, strand test, strand test.
Hope that helps!
I have been using a demi permanent crimson red hair dye. It is supposed to last 4 to 6 weeks. It actually lasts 4 days before I notice that my roots have washed out already. I applied the dye correctly and immediately it looks great. However, after 4 to 6 days, not so good. Is your Deep Red permanent, demi, or semi? How long should it stay in before it washes out?
I am not sure about there hair dye, however ours is permanent. Depending on how long you have used chemicals it may fade a little bit and you might have to do it a few times. It will also bleed a bit, BUT it is so worth it! and you will be glad you made the switch. It should stay on your roots until your hair grows out and you see the original roots. Ours does not have chemicals so it works different, but it is also good for your hair.
Great part is it is cheap! so give it a try, your hair will love you for it.
I have naturally dark brown hair. I dyed it black with chemicals a couple months ago but it is mostly back to my natural color. Will my hair color have an effect on the color of red… such as making it darker? I love this color of red but want it darker.
Hi and congratulations for making a grand decision to save yourself and your hair
. If you have dark brown hair and you use deep red it will be a very dark red. Do it a second time to make it darker. Once you get the color you want you can just do root touch ups.
Also remember it cost the same to ship 3 packets as it does for one.
If you want to make it even darker you can mix any other color you want. if you want it really dark with a slight hint of red, you might use mahogany. OR mix deep red with 15% mahogany. You can mix any of the colors together
Keep a log of what you are mixing so you do not forget! Hope that helps!
