I’ve recently been using red hair dyes,after years of being black,which took forever to get rid of,it is still slightly darker on the ends,i have been researching henna hair dyes and looking at lot’s of pictures,it is amazing how healthy peoples hair looks after using it,my question is,is it safe to use on hair that has got permanent hair dye on it,i still want to keep the colour red.

What is your natural color that is growing in? You can use it over chemical treated hair yes. Some times it might take 1-2 times to get it to stick as the proteins in the hair recover from the chemicals. Just remember there is not chemicals so it cannot go lighter. If your natural hair color is black , then the more times you use the red the more it will shine through. It will be a deep red and you might not see it so much depending how dark your natural hair color is. One thing is for sure though, your hair will thank you and it will be very healthy.
